Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

GridPlan ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Prince Osei Boateng. The service is accessible at enplannet.com. For data protection enquiries contact: oseiboateng93@gmail.com

2. What data we collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your name, phone number, or payment details.

Project data: Network elements (nodes, edges, their properties and coordinates) that you create within the editor are stored on our servers so you can access them across sessions.

Usage data: We log server-side events (load flow runs, imports, exports) with timestamps for debugging and monitoring purposes. These logs contain no personally identifiable information beyond your account identifier.

Feedback: If you submit feedback via the in-app form, we store the message content, optional name and email, and any attached file.

What we do NOT collect:

• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics
• We do not collect IP addresses beyond standard server access logs
• We do not use cookies beyond the session cookie required for authentication
• We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party

3. How we use your data

• To provide, operate and improve the GridPlan service
• To send transactional emails (password reset, account confirmation)
• To respond to feedback you submit
• To monitor service health and debug errors (via Sentry error tracking)

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (DigitalOcean Frankfurt region). We use HTTPS for all connections, encrypted credentials, CSRF protection, and session cookie security. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext.

Error tracking is handled by Sentry. Error reports do not include project content or personally identifiable information.

5. Shared projects

If you use the Share feature, your project data (node positions, edge data, load flow results) becomes accessible to anyone with the share link. You can revoke sharing at any time by disabling it in the editor. Shared projects are read-only for viewers.

6. Data retention

Your project data and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. Server logs are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted. If you delete your account, all associated project data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Export your project data in GeoJSON, CSV, or Shapefile format at any time using the Export function in the editor
• Objection: Object to processing of your data

8. Third-party services

• Resend — transactional email delivery (password reset, confirmation)
• Sentry — error monitoring (no personal data in error reports)
• CartoCDN / MapLibre — map tile delivery for the base map (your IP may be visible to tile servers when loading the map)
• Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — geocoding when you use the search function

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
